I had a good feeling about this after seeing the early gameplay footage. The voice talent involved in this borders on the ridiculous as well - Patrick Stewart and Robert Carlyle for the win!

Just because you name a place and price for which you bought it, doesn't mean you ACTUALLY bought it; you just want us to think that you have.
And if you really do believe that this is 'ODST part two', then I'm pretty sure you've bought the wrong game. Perhaps you bought ODST again by accident? I wouldn't put it past you.
For one, you'd be seeing it in on a decent TV. I don't know about you, but I don't play my console games on a small(ish) computer screen.
And who cares if it's not 'true' HD? Do you know how petty an observation that is? My doorstop is actually just a heavy book which I never use, but it still does the job as well as a conventional doorstop.
Anyone who's played both on a HDTV will agree that Reach looks significantly better - and, at times, quite stunning in its own right (particularly the second and eighth missions).
It also perfectly summarises my reaction to the fact that I won't be able to play this tomorrow. :P

While I do believe Reach deserves a 10 - heck, it's been getting enough of them - I don't for a second believe that there are no cons whatsoever. OXM could have pointed out one or two cons and still given the title a perfect score, because 10/10 doesn't mean that it is perfect - not in a review anyway.
Without trying to troll, you do realise that that's a better score than GoW3 right?
On Metacritic, particularly for film reviews, they calculate a score based on the overall tone of the review. The fact that this particular review says 'if they gave scores it would be a 10/10' means that, if this review was on Metacritic, it would be classed under the 100/100 category.
A perfect score usually represents a game that is the pinnacle of its genre, rather than it being literally perfect. I'm not necessarily saying that Reach is the pinnacle of the FPS genre - I've only played the Beta so far, but will have the full game in a couple of days - but that's usually what a 10/10 or 100/100 score suggests. Read Eurogamer's scoring policy, for example.

Meh, I felt as though the TechVoo review was far more detailed and credible. I mean, Game Informer's review is just TWO sentences, whereas TechVoo's was at least three or four- wait, what do you mean it's just a blurb?
I wasn't here in 06-07 so I can't possibly comment, and I couldn't really care about the past. I'm commenting on how the site is now, and it's there for all to see.
Act as a family? Dude, excuse my French, but they're fucking video games; nothing more than a hobby to carry out in your spare time. Society is obviously in a sad state of affairs when people find themselves loyally defending what is essentially a piece of electronic equipment.
In fairness, we know that this site is effectively N4PS3, so it's not surprising to see the majority of users saying that the worst fanboys are either PC, 360 or other.
Yeah, I'll get a bombardment of disagrees - I don't care. I've been here for quite a while, and it's no secret how this site is. In any case, it's ridiculous that the story was approved in the first place.
Reach probably won't sell more than Black Ops overall, but on the 360 alone? I don't think that's even in question. It's already sold out in a lot of places.
It's like asking what's worse, herpes or gonorrhea; neither is one to be particularly proud of.
Leave this Kinect/Move bullshit out; I just want some more TES loving with a controller in my hand, not some over-sized ball-point pen or... erm, nothing at all.
